Autumn Reset

The days are getting shorter and the air is getting cooler,  there is a definite change in the air 🙂 As we approach the end of the first quarter of the year it’s a good time to slow down, release and reset.
The organs associated with autumn are the lungs and the large intestine. Both are about releasing and letting go.

The lungs also represent vitality and the ability to breathe life in, if one is feeling emotionally overwhelmed, it could be experienced physically as tight chest or the feeling of being weighed down. The emotion of grief is often stored in the lungs which can impact our physical respiration, if there is a lot of emotion sitting in the lungs the breath can become shallow and short and this can impact the nervous system keeping us in a stressed state which in turn affects vitality, life force, and enthusiasm for life.

The large intestine is a common “stress spot” in the body and affects our ability to let go – physically and emotionally. Do we need to control every aspect of life or can we trust in the flow of life?
So it is a good time to clear out and release the old, let go of what is no longer serving you and bring a sense of ease and lightness back to the mind-body-soul.
To help you along I’ll be running an Autumn Reset focusing on yoga, meditation and breathwork to help the mind-body-soul adjust to the change of season, release old energy and let go of what is no longer serving you. (no yoga or meditation experience required, all levels welcome)

“Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.”
